Lauren Beasley

PhD, MS, LMSW

Dr. Lauren Beasley is an Assistant Professor of Sport Administration. She holds a PhD in Sport Studies with a concentration in Sport and Recreation Management, a graduate certificate in Qualitative Methodology, a Master of Science in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior, and a Master of Social Work. She is a licensed social worker in the states of Tennessee and Georgia with background in case management, assessment, and individual, group, and family therapy. Her research centers on the intersection of social work and sport with a recent focus on mental health programming in sport organizations, the mental health of collegiate athletes, and the mental health literacy of sport stakeholders. Lauren brings methodological expertise in stakeholder interviews and focus groups, and topic area expertise in mental health in sport to the Prospera team.
